Care

Daily care:

  • Gently shake out bedding each day and air out the room so that moisture absorbed during sleep can be released.
  • Air out the bedding in fresh air only during dry weather and place in the shade. Do not place in direct sunlight.
  • Do not vacuum or beat with a carpet beater.
  • Change your bed linens regularly and occasionally change the top and toe orientation when putting on clean bed linen.

Wash instructions:

  • Launder washable bedding according to the temperature stated on the care label.
  • Use a pH-neutral, liquid detergent.
  • Do not use fabric softeners.
  • Repeat the spin cycle in order to reduce the water stored in the down and feathers.
  • Tumble dry at 100°C – shake out the bedding every 30 minutes to reduce drying time.

Recommendations:

  • Wash bedding at least once per year according to the care labels.
  • Get non-washable duvets professionally cleaned every three years for hygiene reasons.
  • Replace duvets after 6-8 years and pillows after 2-3 years.
  • Recommendation for cleaning: Schlossberg detergent with natural ingredients, biodegradable, unscented, skin-friendly, no bleach or optical brighteners, suitable for allergy sufferers.

 

Fill weight

The higher the quality of a down filling, the lower the fill weight. The degree of heat retention is determined by the fill power of the down and not exclusively by the fill quantity.

The click for comfort

Attention to detail

Lovingly designed smart details, such as the click fastener, enhance the luxurious, unique character of every Schlossberg product. The blanket and bed linen can be easily secured in place using four small loops in each corner, preventing them from slipping. 

In addition, two individual blankets can be joined together using the side click fastener. The air chamber between them can be considered an additional heat point – two blankets, each with one heat point, become a 3-point blanket.

About the Quality

Down

Only goose down (sometimes combined with goose feathers) and eider down are used in our Schlossberg down products. High-quality, large-flake down ensures an optimal sleeping climate, maintaining a constant balance between “warm” and “cool,” between ‘“dry” and “moist.” While the soft, fluffy down is mainly used as filling for blankets, the feathers are mainly used in pillows. This is due to their texture, which (unlike down) provides the filling with ideal supporting force thanks to the quills.
