Schlossberg jersey, seersucker and linen bed linen generally does not need ironing. Schlossberg satin and other woven fabrics are particularly easy to iron and are best ironed while slightly damp. Always follow the care label.
The warranty period for manufacturing defects is two years from purchase. Schlossberg bed linen also includes a lifetime warranty on its zips, provided the product is handled properly. Please refer to the information included in the packaging.

Naturally finished cotton may shrink by approximately 4–6%, depending on the drying method. The covers still fit down duvets well. With wool, camel-hair, silk or similar duvets, however, the cover may fit more tightly after washing, depending on the duvet type. We therefore recommend considering a custom-made “natural-hair duvet” cover for an additional charge. For advice, contact customer service or visit a Schlossberg boutique, outlet or official dealer.

Yes. Our designers work with a wide variety of colours, shapes, styles and techniques. Watercolour and acrylic painting are two of the most frequently used methods, complemented by an extensive range of coloured pencils and graphite pencils. Designs that are woven in colour rather than printed are also painted by hand using one of these techniques.

Several months may pass from the initial research and sketches to the hand-painted originals and the digital artwork used for colour coordination at the printing facility. Even at that stage, every detail is carefully checked and refined before the imaginative motifs are brought to life and applied to velvety-soft satin or Swiss jersey.

Our in-house atelier in Turbenthal is at the heart of Schlossberg and a hallmark of the brand. Each collection introduces new designs drawn by hand with great care and expressed through a variety of styles and painting techniques. Our Design & Product team takes inspiration from fashion, interior trends, art, culture, social themes and professional trend scouts—with one guiding idea: turning an everyday moment into a unique, personal moment of well-being.

The bed linen designs range from classic floral themes and modern interpretations to understated plain colours and striking graphic patterns. The range of colours and designs is almost limitless, and the distinctive drawing styles of our artists are unique.

Together with our product developers, who select only premium fabrics that meet the highest quality requirements, these designs become Schlossberg products that may soon become your new favourites.

The family company’s history spans almost 200 years, from 1833 to the present day. Textile expertise, tradition and innovative strength have been passed down through generations. At the original site in Turbenthal in the Zurich Oberland, fabrics manufactured in Europe are still developed and the characteristic Schlossberg designs are still drawn by hand.

Schlossberg Textil AG was established as the brand and its marketing became increasingly important. The name “Schlossberg Switzerland” is not an invented advertising term but refers to an actual hill in the surrounding area. Bruno Boller, the company director at the time, supported the idea: the castle represents luxury, while the mountain represents quality and sustainability.

The Töss River and its water attracted the textile industry in the early nineteenth century. At that time, technological progress still relied on hydropower, which supplied the energy required for large machines. Lieutenant Johann Kaspar Winkler therefore opened a mechanical spinning mill in Turbenthal. The impressive mill building—with a waterwheel, its own transmission system and 7,344 spindles—marked the beginning of the company’s history. Boller Winkler and Schlossberg are therefore as old as the University of Zurich and the Ringier publishing company.
Yes. Schlossberg developed the world’s first stretch jersey fitted sheet and launched non-iron jersey bed linen.

Philosophy

Schlossberg represents a complete world of well-being for the bedroom, bathroom and home. Above all, we create moments of well-being with products such as satin bed linen, wonderfully soft terry products and sensory home fragrances.

They are your moments of well-being—your own personal “me time”.

Each of our Schlossberg products is created with this in mind: Is it unique enough? Has it been created with every expertise, but above all with love? Does it give you a sense of security, inspiration - or perhaps even evoke a beloved memory?

To achieve this, we combine colours, materials and craftsmanship with style and care: vibrant, hand-painted designs on fabrics that are worthy of them. Materials that we develop and refine again and again. A product range that is tailored to your individual needs.

Our values

For all the diversity that we love and embrace at Schlossberg, we share one heartbeat: the Schlossberg story that we continue to write together every day. We are guided by five values that can be seen and felt in everything we do:

·        Careful

·        Honest

·        Passionate

·        Stylish

·        Personal

Questions About Materials

Satin feels smooth, soft and comparatively cool. Jersey is supple, stretchy and slightly warmer. Seersucker is airy and non-iron, flannel is particularly soft and warming, while linen is light and temperature-regulating. When choosing, consider your personal sensitivity to warmth and the level of easy care you prefer.

Satin describes the weave—that is, how the threads are arranged—rather than the material from which the fabric is made. Satin can be produced from different fibres; Schlossberg satin uses only 100% mercerised, premium-quality cotton. The satin weave gives the fabric an exceptionally skin-friendly, smooth and soft surface. The finishing process makes our satin more tear-resistant and durable and allows it to absorb up to 20% more moisture without feeling damp.

Jersey Royal is our most sought-after jersey fabric. Made from 100% mercerised cotton, it is still knitted in Switzerland using a specially developed yarn for Schlossberg.
